Abstract

Background. The evaluation of the products’ manufacturability is carried out at the initial stages of technological preparation of production, and the quality of its implementation to a decisive extent determines the effectiveness of all subsequent actions, both in the development of technological processes and the functioning of machining systems. Currently, due to the lack of an accurate and complete description of the method of its implementation, this assessment directly depends on the subjective experience of the technologist and does not allow building a clearly formalized model that allows one to proceed to the intellectualization of this design procedure. The purpose of the work is to improve the quality of processing parts and the efficiency of the functioning of multi-product production systems based on the development of additional quantitative indicators for assessing production manufacturability. Materials and methods. On the example of the «Lid» part, the sequence of generating initial data and calculating the developed new indicators for the quantitative assessment of production manufacturability is presented, including the formation of graphs of relationships between the surfaces of the part, containing also information about design bases, requirements for geometric characteristics and permissible values of their relative position. Based on the received, transformed and formalized in the form of a relational database, the information is the basis for determining the presented new quantitative indicators of the production manufacturability of parts. Results. New indicators for the quantitative assessment of the manufacturability of parts have been developed, which make it possible to draw a conclusion about the degree of compliance of the design of the manufactured part with the possibilities of using the principle of unity of bases in the design of the technological process of its manufacture. The sequence of generation, formation of initial data and calculation of the proposed indicators based on them is presented. Conclusions. The proposed quantitative indicators of production manufacturability provide an opportunity to analyze the purpose of rational technological bases in the process of manufacturing parts. The developed indicators, together with the known indicators, provide more complete information about the compliance of the part design with technological processing methods and allow predicting the efficiency of the production systems in the manufacture of the parts in question.
